I love the Lake!

Well the weekend after Easter we headed to Branson for the weekend and took Landon on his first boat ride. He absolutely loved it. Papa let him drive and he thought it was pretty cool. He took a nap on the boat, and lounged outside...what could be better. I can’t wait for this summer when we can spend more weekends at the lake. It is so nice that Landon is so easy going and is a perfect baby at home or in a new environment. Anyway here are some pictures of Landon loving life on the boat!

Easter!

Again it has been so long since my last post I don’t know where to start. In March Landon and I survived another weekend by ourselves while Stephen went to my brothers Bachelor party. It was a busy weekend helping out with my nieces but we survived and were excited when daddy came home. After Daddy was back he soon got sick and spent 4 days home from work and in bed. When I got home from work on Monday Stephens fever was 105.9....Scary! After a week of feeling bad and a few days of antibiotics he was finally getting back to normal in time for Easter.

Landon’s first Easter was good. We went to church and then home for a nap before going to Aunt Shery’s for lunch/dinner. The weather was perfect and so we were able to play outside. It was so much fun to get him all dressed up...Who doesn't love a baby in a sweater vest?

As I am posting this and looking back on our Easter pictures I realized I am the worst mom ever and I never took Landon to see the Easter bunny :( Oh well maybe next year.

Bath Time

Well my friend Christina has rubbed off on me. She introduced me to a website named piknik where you can edit your pictures and make collages and such. So here is one I made today while playing on the website. I cannot believe Landon is 5 months old. He is changing so fast and I wish I could just freeze time. Although, I must admit each day is something new and more fun! He is the happiest baby and he is so easy going and relaxed.

Anyway one of his favorite things to do is take a bath. He has always loved his bath...from his sponge bath on the counter to his big boy bath where he can splash. I am so excited for him to start playing with toys and really having fun in the bath.

4 month update

Well I have been very bad at this whole blog thing.  It is just so hard to find the time with working full time, keeping up with the house, the dogs and of course Landon.  He is so much fun but it is so hard to find time for all the other things in life.  On my days off all I want to do is play with him and hold him and I never get anything done. Oh well, I guess they are only little once.  So for now the house will be a little messy, the laundry not put away and dinner not always made...but it is all worth it. 

We went to the doctor a few weeks back for his four month check-up and he was in the 50th percentile for both height and weight.  He is 15 pounds and growing so fast. Hope you enjoy the pictures and I also hope to get better about updating more often.

Sorry it has been awhile again since I have posted but our computer is not working so hopefully we are going to be buying new one Friday or Saturday. I will post new pictures as soon as we get our new computer up and running and I have pictures on it. Landon is getting very big and starting to do more. He tries to sit up and can roll from tummy to back and is trying to roll from his back to his side. We are having so much fun enjoying everyday with him. He is doing great at night, although he does not sleep through the night he only wakes up once usually and he does not eat. He just wants us to give him his binky and pat him and he will usually go back to sleep rather quickly. Stephen has been the main one to get up and do this since I have been getting up for months. I have to admit it is very nice to not be the one he has to have in the middle of the night. Stephen has been such a great help and it is so neat to see him bond and play with Landon. He loves to talk to him and get him to smile and laugh at him. I don't think there is anything better than watching your spouse be an amazing parent.

Anyway I will try to get some new pictures on as soon as I can.

3 month pictures

Landon had his three month pictures on Saturday and he did pretty good. It is amazing to me how much he has changed in three months. It is so much fun to watch him grow, change and learn. I love every minute I get to spend with him. Anyway you can check out a few of the pictures on the photographers blog. I will share the rest when I get the proofs.

January Pictures...look how he has grown!

He is getting so big and he is so much fun. He loves to play, talk, and watch TV. He is starting to like tummy time and to sit in his bumbo seat. He is almost always happy when he is awake and most of the time he takes pretty good naps.

We have his professional three month pictures tomorrow so hopefully he is good and we get some cute pictures of our precious boy!

Pictures to come!

Well again it has been awhile since I have posted. It is so hard to find the time with working full time and taking care of Landon. I went back to work last week and it has been tough. The days are so long and I am so tired when I get home that all I want to do it go to sleep. Landon has had a few bumps in the road adjusting but overall is doing pretty good. He has given me a few nights with little rest and when you have to get up at 5 and go to work for 13 hours it is very HARD. He also had a few nights where he did not want to nurse or some where he thought he needed to nurse every hour or so. I think he is still getting used to me being gone all day but I know he loves to go to his BaBa's house.

Stephen and I have talked a lot about me going part time and I am really hoping that I will be able to. I would still work long days but only two a week instead of three.

It is so much harder than I thought to be gone from him all day and I know the first year will go by so fast that I just want to be with him as much as possible.

He is getting so big so fast, in the last few weeks he has really found his hands and he loves to grab his blanket or toys and pull them to his mouth. He is holding his head up better and talking all the time. He is such a happy baby that smiles constantly. We are so blessed to have such a healthy happy son and I thank God for him every day.

Going back to work has also made me count my blessings, we just have so many sick kids right now and my heart aches for those parents. I can not imagine if I had to leave Landon in a hospital all by himslef.

Anyway I will try to post pictures soon so you can all see how he is growing and changeing.

So Lucky

How did I get so lucky? It is so fun to spend everyday with Landon and to see him grow and change. He is so much fun, he smiles all the time and he loves to try to talk. After he eats is when he is the happiest and we just sit and talk and smile at each other...what could be better? I could not ask for a better baby. Landon slept through the night the last two out of three nights. It is amazing to get 7-8 hours of sleep and I am sure waking up in the night will soon be something in the past.

It is hitting me pretty hard that I go back to work on Monday. I can't believe it has already been 3 months and I am going to have to leave my baby boy for 14 long hours three times every week. I know I am very lucky to have my mom caring for him and it is such a relief that I do not have to worry about his care, but it is still so so hard. I am hoping that maybe soon I will be able to cut my hours back a little to spend more days at home with Landon. As for now I will just have to go to work and cherish my days off at home.

We started doing Landons baths in the big tub and he loves it. He has always loved his bath but for him the more water the better. He hates getting out of the bath and really despises lotion. Nanie got him a new towel for Christmas and it makes all the difference. It is a lot bigger and it keeps him warm while drying off, now even getting out is a joy.

Our first Trip to WV

We had a good New Years Eve at my parent’s house with friends and family. We enjoyed a great dinner and rang in the New Year as Landon slept through the chaos. We left quickly after midnight to go home and get a few hours of sleep for our early flight to WV. Below is a picture of Landon on New Years Eve.



So with the New Year here we headed to WV to visit family. Landon did very good on the flights and we were excited to see everyone when we arrived. We spent tons of time with family and had a great time. Here are some pictures of our trip.
